1. Data storage
Access data is automatically saved every time a file is called up from our web site.
Each data set consists of:
- the page from which the file was requested
- the name of the file
- the date and time of the request
- the volume of data transferred
- the access status (file transferred, file found etc.)
- a description of the type of web browser used
- IP address of the requesting computer
Otherwise, personal information will only be saved if provided by you on a voluntary basis, e.g. within the context of registration or contractual performance.
The data collected will be evaluated solely for internal statistical purposes and for technical administration of web pages; it will not be passed on to third parties either in whole or in part.
Normally, you can browse the eGS web site without providing personal information. However, if you wish to make active use of the eGS web site, you will be requested to provide the following information:
Company name, proprietor/manager, street, zip code, city/town, state, telephone number, type of business, sector, aim of membership, also title, first name, family name, department and e-mail address of contact.
Information will also be collected if provided for the purpose of registration or use of eGF portal offerings.
When registering, you will select a member name and password. eGF thus allows you participate in the B2B platform and access the various B2B platform services under a pseudonym.
This data will be used and, where necessary, passed on to third parties solely for internal order-processing purposes. It may, for example, be necessary to share such information with third parties within the context of payment processing. Such third parties are obliged to treat the information received from us confidentially and to use it solely for service and transaction-processing purposes on our behalf.
We also use such information for internal advertising purposes. Within this context, it will not be shared with third parties.
3. For what purposes will eGF use your data?
Your personal information will be used by eGF to permit safe, effective and customized use of the services offered within the scope of the B2B platform offering.
The eGF services also include facilitation of contacts between suppliers and prospective customers.
This takes place mainly through the transfer of certain contact information allowing users to contact one another directly.
To this end, the information provided by users either when posting objects to the eGF databases or when completing the contact form is transferred.
eGF also uses personal user information to the extent necessary for performance and processing of existing contracts, e.g. for sending invoices, or for establishing contacts if problems arise. Registered-user data is also used in the interests of honest users to counteract possible misuse of the eGS portal and protect users from harm.
4. Disclosure of user information to third parties by eGF
As a general principle, user data will not be passed on to third parties by eGF except in the cases listed under 4.3 above.
In exceptional cases, however, eGS is obliged by law to disclose personal user information to third parties, in particular public bodies within the context of criminal investigations.
In the event that misuse of the eGF portals are reported by other users, user information will only be divulged on clearly justified and documented grounds.
5. Handling of information relating to other users
eGF enables its registered users to access certain contact information regarding other users in order to facilitate inter-user transactions.
By accepting these Terms and Conditions of Use, users undertake to use personal information concerning other users made available to them within the context of business-contact establishment via the eGS Internet portal solely for the following purposes:
- communications connected with content posted within the scope of the B2B platform; advertising content, however, may not be sent to other users unless requested.
- other purposes to which the users concerned have provided their express consent.
It is prohibited to send unsolicited advertising spams via the eGS system.
Data that you pass on to third parties, e.g. suppliers or customers, via the B2B platform may be used by them for a wide variety of purposes.
If you use services provided by third parties, they will be governed by the latter's General Terms and Conditions of Business. These terms and conditions will not be reviewed by eGF.
eGF recommends its users to investigate the suppliers concerned and their policy with respect to the handling of user data before utilizing their services and making personal information available to them.
UNIVERSAL ANTI-SPAM POLICY
The Board of Directors of the company ecomVia a.s., as the Provider of Services defined and governed by the provisions of “Terms of Service”, and other documents, hereby adopts and declares this
Policy on prohibition of spamming and unethical marketing activities
(hereinafter “Universal Anti-Spam Policy”)
ecomVia a.s. calls on all directors, employees, co-workers and all other persons acting in the name of ecomVia Product Finder (hereinafter “ePF”) and ecomVia Global System (hereinafter “eGS”) and Users of Services of ePF and eGS, to refrain resolutely and earnestly from the following activities:
Acting as or pretending to be an employee, personal assistant, or other official of the company ecomVia a.s., or any other person, third party inclusive, if you were not directly authorised to do so, or the deceptive or untruthful representation of your connection with another person or third party.
Manipulation of identifiers, such as e-mail headers, to disguise the origin of any Content posted or transmitted through the communication systems of eGF and eGS.
Relaying e-mails from mail servers of a third party without the prior consent of the third party.
The use, or causing the unauthorised use, of communication systems of eGF and eGS to facilitate the transmission of unsolicited or unauthorised material.
This includes:
- any unsolicited promotional materials
- URLs
- junk mail
- false messages, promotion of pyramid schemes
- any other form of unauthorised solicitation that you may upload, post, email, transmit or otherwise make available.
The creation and use of “robots” (WebBots), or otherwise harvesting e-mail addresses from the pages of eGF and eGS for the purposes of sending unsolicited and unauthorised material.
The repeated uploading, posting, e-mailing or transmitting of the same message, URL or article multiple times.
Notice
Certain services of eGF and eGS may have additional guidelines concerning spamming to explain full compliance with the given service. These additional rules make reference to individual sections of the “Universal Anti-Spam Policy”. It is the user’s responsibility to check and become acquainted with the rules of each service for additional details regarding spam.
